Michael Mai

 

Michael founded Mai Foundation in 2015 as a vehicle for himself and the family to give back.

 

Michael’s entrepreneurial spirit underpins the Foundation’s work. It’s what he’s good at, and it’s what he enjoys. He believes young people are the foundation of the future.  Combining his passion and belief, Mai Foundation focuses on empowering young leaders through investing in social enterprises to create sustainable change and a better future.

 

To utilise his business background Michael has mentored a group of young people at Youth for Causes for YMCA, taught them the mechanics behind running a business and helped them start their own social enterprise. He works with YGAP and visited their impact entrepreneurs in South Africa to learn about their local problems in some of the world’s toughest communities first hand and offer his resources. With his aspiration of creating a better future, Michael continues his philanthropic journey.
