MAI Foundation is proud to have provided financial support to a number of local and international charities. Our major beneficiaries are listed below.
FareShare rescues surplus food and cooks free, nutritious meals for people doing it tough. MAI Foundation supported the continuation of FareShare's food distribution program.
Entrust Foundation works in 15 countries in the areas of education, stopping human trafficking, water and sanitation, economic empowerment and emergency relief in times of disaster. MAI Foundation supported the Transitions Life Centre for Trafficked Girls in Phnom Penh, empowering young women and girls to overcome trauma and exploitation that they have experienced in their lives.
The Youth Junction offers a diverse and specialised range of youth services to young people aged 12 - 25 years. MAI Foundation supported the continuation of youth justice programs that have been successful in significantly reducing youth recidivism in Melbourne's western suburbs.
MAI Foundation is the major sponsor of YMCA Youth For Causes, a program that provides young people with training, support, mentors and substantial seed money to develop a social enterprise and raise funds for a worthy social cause of their choice. Youth for Causes is open to senior secondary and young tertiary students, runs for a nine month period each year, is empowering and gives young people the opportunity to “discover what’s possible’ in the rapidly expanding social enterprise sector.
A non-profit that finds and supports innovative local organisations changing the lives of people living in poverty. Mai Foundation supported YGAP Accelerator Program in 2015, the fit out of their multi-purposed office at 111 Swan St Richmond in 2017, and the Polished Man Campaign since 2016.
Manymore Cafe & bar is MAI Foundation's first self-run Social Enterprise located in Melbourne CBD. The vision is to create a financially sustainable business offering outstanding food and beverage service, that also builds awareness of social initiatives and provides a convenient way for our customers to give back to their community.
